Ashley was born in San Clemente, California on the 10th of February, 1987. She first began surfing at age of 5, just before moving to Hawaii. at the age of 6, she won a surf competition using a broken board that she found in a trash can outside the house. Her first surfing experience began in the age of five and, by age 6, she was a winner in the first competition. By 7 she had a sponsorship. Born in San Clemente California but later moved to Hawaii. The year 2005 was when Anastasia was surfing when she moved to Hawaii. She won her first surf competition at the age six using an old surfboard that she found in her home. Ashley aged 16 at the time she took part in the NSSA National Championship. In 2003 she was awarded her the Triple Crown rookie of the award for the year. She also won titles including two National Scholastic Surfing Association championships and the Professional Surfing Tour of America championship. Ashley took home the 2010 Pipeline Women's Pro in Hawaii. Ashley ranks 59th on the Women's Qualification Series for 2014.
